First off I did not buy a brand new chair. The store gave me one that was already put together and used. I do believe it was a previously returned item. UNACCEPTABLE. I brought it back.
The chair provides the primary adjustments (height lean back/upright) and is comfortable to sit in all day. It does not provide anything beyond the most basic adjustments with one exception the arm rests fold up which gets them out of the way if required. I'm a programmer so I sit in the thing eight or ten hours a day snugged up close to my computer keyboard. The adjustments for lean back are anemic but the chair was built right for me. It doesn't lean back too far just enough to take the strain off my back. The arms being able to fold up is convenient in that sometimes I like arms and sometimes I don't. Easy to flip back and forth. The first thing that I normally wear out in a chair is the ends of the arms because sometimes they get caught under the desktop as I lean back which rips up the material after a few dozen times.
I am very unhappy with my new chair. I was hoping that I would be able to lean the chair back and lock it in place but that is not the case. Because it leans forward so much it is uncomfortable to sit in for more than a few minutes.
