I bought this for my 16-year-old son. He uses it at his computer desk. He also plays guitar and ideally wanted a chair with quickly-removable armrests. The vast majority of chairs at Staples have armrests that can only be attached and detached by spending 20 minutes with a screwdriver. A few chairs including this one had flip-up armrests which satisfied my son. My son liked the styling and comfort and I liked the price. My only concern is longevity. I bought a similar chair about 9 months earlier and it is now having issues with the gas cylinder randomly releasing pressure dropping the seat height down to the very bottom. I must frequently stand up press the control lever to raise the seat and then sit back down. It will usually remain okay for a few hours. Then it will randomly release again usually moments after I sit down. I believe this to be an issue in the gas cylinder and ALL these "affordable" chairs use similar gas cylinders so they are probably all equally likely to exhibit problems or be perfectly reliable. It's basically a roll of the dice...
There appears to be a bit of a wobble left to right when tilted back slightly but not when the chair is straight up. Otherwise it is comfortable and the upholstery appears better than average.
Very very comfortable chair. I am picky about chairs and this one meets my expectation of comfort. Excellent for typing at the computer though not as good for reclining back.
Really nice. I lucked out that day by actually going into the store. It had been returned so the price was cut in half -- and it's a beautiful very comfortable chair.
