The chair was assembled at the store. It sits cockeyed in the post. When the wheel base is rotated to the correct position it can be forced to tilt forward which is the most comfortable of the awkward positions. The major tell is when I stand up the chair always rotates itself into the same facing direction. I will watch out for this name brand and stay away from it in the future.

Overall I LOVE this chair. Glides smooth soft seat wide seat. My only complaints when you move the arms up out of the way they dont hide completely next to the back. And although you can loosen the tension so that it can "rock" backward so far it doesn't rock very far. But I love it.
