I've owned this chair for about about 10 months now and it squeaks so badly. I've soaked the undercarriage in lithium grease and for a little while the squeaks went away. However it only worked temporarily and now I can never make the squeak disappear. Greasing every so often doesn't makes some movements not squeak (only for a short while). There's always some squeaking! And why did Staples design this chair so that the edges are sharp. Sometimes I sit cross-legged on the chair and those edges will dig into my feet. This chair was cheap but I really regret buying it.
I bought a Staples Kroy two years ago. I had to replace it because the mesh seat began to sagg. I like mesh chairs because my office is hot and thought I would try the Dexley. It's already sagging after 2 months. I regret wasting more money on a staples chair.

Bought multiple for our office and after one month of use two of the four are squeaking with every movement. It is unbearable to listen to all day we will be replacing them. Don't recommend for long periods of use.
I got the Dexley to replace a Staples Rutherford faux leather chair after several years. The Rutherford had little support and got hot quickly and by now the arm pad has flattened. The Dexley is a major improvement. The mesh is breathable so I stay cool all day when working from home and the arm rests are solid but soft The lumbar support actually works well - no more back pain after a day of work! It's only been a week but I'm very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend this chair to anyone who needs a good task chair.
I don't think I would want to sit in this chair for really long periods of time - It may encourage me to take more breaks away from my desk throughout the day...which could be a good thing.
