The build quality is good for the price. I'm sure this would be more comfortable for someone who is taller but for me (5'8" 165 lbs.) it was just too big to be comfortable. I ended up getting the Hyken instead and it's a much better fit. The tilt-lock on the Hyken is also a nice feature which the Dexley lacks.
You are unable to sit upright with your back touching the chair. It leans too far back in the upright locked position. Other than that it's a good chair. I was able to fix it by making an angled wedge to mount the chair back on but before that I was going to return it.
I've used the chair for a week with up to 10-12 hours of usage. The chair has a really good feature set for what you pay for especially on discount. However I was left pretty disappointed with the build quality. The mesh seating had stretched within the first week and when I properly adjusted my position my tail bone was resting on the plastic seat frame. The mesh also isn't very comfortable so I'd suggest wearing jeans or something thick when sitting. The chair also started making creaking noises when I reclined back and forth. I decided to return it after that. It isn't a bad chair but be aware that quality control isn't its strong suit and be prepared to do some returns and exchangesm
I used a lot of chairs over the years but i have to say this is the best one out of them all. It doesn't seem like it at first but when you sit on it it gives the best feeling of support and comfort. It has perfect back support in my opinion (I am a 150 Lb 5'9"). I know justifying the price is hard but its honestly an investment you want to make if you use a chair a lot.
The chair gives off a strong plastic like odor that I can't get rid of. I wiped it down several times and even put it outside in my screened in porch for two days. My office still smells like a plastic factory.
My husband like many other people has been working from home this past year (at the kitchen table). This make shift arrangement has taken a toll on his back. When I spotted the sale on the Mesh Union chair I went to the local Staples and purchased. What a difference it has made!!! If it goes on sale again I will buy another for myself. My back needs a brack!!!
