all ajustments are manual you have to get out of the chair and turn it over. Also it's chair is not 17 inches deep it's about 21". I'm about 125 lbs and the mesh stretches to hit the support bar. The back support only hits on one angle so feels like another bar. The 3 stars is because it is actually a chair and looks ok.

I bought this and had to put it together. The putting together was super easy and I did it in about 20 minutes. The best thing is the box it comes in is perfect as a work surface. the seat fit nicely on the top so I was able to sit comfortably and put the screws for the arms in and then the plat that holds the chair to the base. It's comfy but I had to put a towel on the seat because it's mesh and I am in FL so it's hot and sticky and I was wearing short - LOL. I think the price is OK I would not buy it at the regular price. The best thing to do is go to a store that has a lot of samples so you can find one that fits your body.

I sat in 40+ chairs today. I'm a plus size programmer that sits in a chair 40+ hours a week. I've had lower back and knee issues for years. When I tell you this one relieves the pressure points EVERYWHERE..I mean it. I cradles the lower end supports the middle of the thighs gives back end support but doesn't push you off the chair nor does it make you feel like your sinking. The head rest actually HAS use. The chair allows you to tip back but still supports you and brings you forward. The arms DO NOT move-thats the only downfall. BUT they will adjust up and down. Just not side to side. This is a great chair.
