While the armrests are adjustable both up -and-down and swivel right or left to match arm angle at keyboard and mouse they have almost no padding. I got it for my wife. The headrest and lumbar pad are great and can be adjusted to fit. That's great. What's not too good is the flexibility of the back & forth rocking--way too stiff. The back has to be at 30-40 degrees before rocking back becomes easy. Staples has a similar chair without the neck and lumbar pads. The armrests can be moved out of the way but they cannot be adjusted up or down or sideways. The rocking is great. The tension can be adjusted or locked but I just let it fly free. I like the lower bucket of the Vortex gaming chair. Higher buckets tend to cut off circulation. The perfect chair would be a hybrid of these two chairs.
