The chair was easy to build. This was purchased for my son and he likes it. I have sat in it and it is comfortable. I will note that the chair seat had a rip in the rear part which was apparently "fixed" at the factory. I did not take it back to the store as the repaired area is mostly covered by the back rest. The repair was not very attractive and easy to see and I really feel like this should have been rejected at the factory. Makes you wonder what else they are letting slip through.
The chair is well made and very comfortable both as a gaming chair and a desk chair. Bought it as a gift for my son. I would recommend it especially on sale!
First the positive. The chair was in stock for us to take immediate delivery although I would have preferred it in red). The lumbar pillow is infinitely adjustable for height on the back which is EXACTLY what I was looking for it's also just about the perfect size for me. The arms are movable to almost any position I would like except for width (more on the arms when I get to the negatives). The seat and back cushioning seems adequate for me. Casters move freely although I'm sure cat hair will fix that soon and the hydraulic lift functions exactly as it should. Now the negatives. Most of the screw holes were at least partially obscured by the chair covering nothing major just enough to be annoying during assembly. The trim cover plugs are keyed with tabs the holes they're SUPPOSED to fit in are not so those 4 screws are exposed. The guide hole to align the plastic covers over the back hinge are BARELY large enough to fit over the pins on the hinges the right hand one I almost had to force fit. Out of the eight (8) screws to hold the arms to the seat I was able to tighten FIVE (5)! The other three (2 on one arm one on the other) spun freely as soon as I tried to use the allen wrench to tighten them past finger tight. I could hear the hooks for the pem-nuts scraping against the wooden base material of the seat they OBVIOUSLY weren't seated properly during manufacturing. Overall I do like the chair if it wasn't for the arm mounting I would have given it 5 of 5 even with the other (very minor) issues.
