The specific seat height was not listed in the specifications, only the height of the back, so I took a chance and ordered. I should have perused the reviews more. This stool is way too high. The lowest setting suits sitting at a 36" high counter or taller but you will not be able to used this at a lower table. This is not suitable for a sit/stand desk.

I use the chair without the arms as I am constantly up and down. I work in an open office space where every desk has "standing" capabilities but I cannot sustain standing for long periods of time. The height on this chair makes it possible to "perch" while I work and relieves the need to fully stand so that I can see over the other desks' privacy screens.
