Great chair until it breaks

Bought mine at the he beginning of the pandemic. About a year ago the mesh started to pull away to the point of was sitting on the metal frame. Then the hydraulic mechanism pushed it's way through the plastic base splitting it. It was all repaired under warranty. Took several weeks to get the parts. Another year has gone by and the base has split again. I'll get it fixed under warranty again but I'm sidelining the chair and will but something else to use as my daily. The plastic base has a tapered section which mated to the tapered pneumatic cylinder. Downward forces causes an outward force. If they used a step instead of a taper this would not occur.

I started off my search for an office chair looking at the $1000 x-chair which I have never sat in. at $149 (on sale) I can't imagine what could be any better than this. Great chair very comfortable for sitting 8+ hours a day. Seems to be well made and should last for years. Highly recommend!

I needed an office chair that would help my back shoulders and neck. My old office chair was killing me. The young man who helped me at Staples said he had a chair just like this one at home and loved it. My co-worker who put it together for me said it was very easy to put together and the screws/bolts etc. were in separate baggies. I am a 5'1" female and although my legs come a little short of the ground when I sit back in it at my desk in general it fits me perfectly and is very comfortable. The arms are adjustable and the height adjustment is very precise and easy to use. This chair has changed my life as I was afraid I was going to have to retire early from my job due to the ongoing pain I was having. Now I am perfectly happy working all day!

Easy assembly. Seems like decent fasteners (somewhat rare now!). Chair works well. Lumbar adjustment should have a bit lower adjustment possible for the shorter torsos of smaller users. Nice that the arms can be left off if preferred. Recommended.
