center pole has already dropped to the carpet

After using the product for less than a year the center pole has dropped to the floor and it now touches and rips up the carpet. I am under the weight limit of the chair so this shouldn't have happened. Very disappointed in this chair.

Had this chair for 3 months and it's already falling apart. The backrest bolts already stripped out and the lock for the back tilt is worn out. Horrible quality. I am getting new parts to try to sell and get some of my money back because of course they wont give you a refund...
