I've had this chair roughly 2 years and it is literally falling apart and the mesh is torn away from the edges of the seat. I only weigh 160 pounds but use the chair daily. It is a comfortable seat and the best by a mile of Staples' offerings for my needs. I bought a SquareTrade who have made it nearly impossible to get it fixed and Staples won't let me take it to the store. So now I'm stuck with a ripped squeaky creaky chair that likes to fall down on its own. Tightening it up only goes so far and the hydraulic part is starting to fail. It's a poor man's Hermann Miller chair and you get what you pay for. Overall I think 2 years is fair for the price I got it for so I can't be too mad. :)
Chair is light and easy to sit and movein. You can work with support and ease with the adjustibility of head and arm support as wrll as height. And the price can not be beat!
This is a decent chair. It's not too difficult to put together and is plenty comfortable for me (6' 2" - 220). The problem is that the arm rests are put together using screws that are too short to keep the thing together. Like another reviewer my arm rest snapped off after about a week and a half of use. Incredibly frustrating. I now understand why the chair was so deeply discounted. The good news is you can fix this yourself if you want with some $2 wood screws from your favorite hardware store. They only need to be a bit longer to be effective (see pic attached - factory screw is on the left my screw on the right). Too bad the manufacturer couldn't figure that out. Definitely won't buy a Union & Scale chair any time soon.
