So I was looking for a office chair where I sit for long hours and do software development. This would mean I need a chair that keeps my back straight aligns my wrist with my desk properly and a headrest that actually touches my head while I am sitting almost straight (slightly slanted). In most chairs you need to sit in a highly slanting posture to actually rest on headrest which makes it difficult to type on the desktop computer or laptop. First I bought Hyken It satisfied all my criteria's above and is a wonderful robust chair. However I felt I need both more broader and deeper sitting space Hyken felt more compact. Also in Hyken in some postures the headrest touches the shoulders. Then I returned Hyken and bought Dexley. I would gives 5 stars for Staples easy return procedure even when I couldn't dismantle the Hyken chair completely. Just go to the store and they take care of everything. Dexley is same as Hyken except it is broader and deeper in seating arms headrest. Also headrest has adjustable height which Hyken doesn't have. An analogy to understand difference between these chair would be to compare compact SUV (Hyken) with Full SUV (Dexley) :D. Regarding Reclining feature (I was so worried about this before buying). So Both Hyken and Dexley have the same reclining features except that in Hyken you can lock at almost any reclining angle but in Dexley you can only in one straight position. So overall both chairs are amazing for long working hours. It's more of a personal choice whether someone wants compact office chair (Hyken) or big broad and deep office chair (Dexley). For me Dexley is the PERFECT chair!!!!!
Its ok. Very hard to lean back. Lumbar support not pronounced. I still need a pillow. I am 5’4” and its a really big chair for me. If I had tried it first would have chosen different for that price.
This chair was great at first and seemed durable. Fast forward a couple of months and the tilt lock no longer worked. Fast forward about a year and it squeaks like no other no matter what I tried to alleviate it. It rocks side to side because some of the wheels have somehow become uneven. Thankfully the mesh is still intact which appears to be an issue with some of the other reviews I've read. I thought spending a little more on what appeared to be a nice budget friendly chair I would get longer use of it. Unfortunately I will have to start shopping for a new chair soon after only a couple of years.
