I first bought the U&S Hyken chair but did not like it for several reasons. I returned it and purchased a Dexley. The Dexley has a wider seat. However the sides of the seat are plastic and swoop up so there is still a bit of discomfort if you are wide or sit with legs splayed. The Dexley also has wider elbow rests. When sitting in the Hyken my elbows naturally fell off the rests because they were too narrow. The Dexley does not have a way to lock the tilt like the Hyke. But this feature seems to be useless so no matter. The bar that extends from under the seat to allow you to raise and lower the seat is easily moved by my heels when my feet are on top of the wheels. This is a position I enjoy but is not a deal breaker. The Hyken head rest is not comfortable while the Dexley is. This is essential when sitting back to watch a movie or when I am only listening during an MS Teams meeting. In short the hyken is a bad chair all around and the Dexley will suffice.

The plastic lining around the seat killed it for me. You can’t cross your legs over or sit anyway besides your legs down and forward. It digs into my thighs. I’m not overweight. But I sit in it all day so sometimes I sit on one leg even Indian style just to move around. I’m disappointed bc I’ve don’t a lot of research and review hunting to find the perfect home office chair. I have been looking for a new office chair and am so happy I purchased this chair. It has a high back with an optional head support piece. Adjustable height and lumbar options as well as adjustable tilt capabilities. Easy directions for assembling too!
