I was not a fan of the chair. I thought I was going to love it based on the amount of research I did but that was not the case. For reference I am a larger individual at 6’5” and 250lbs. The chair was extremely easy to assemble all of the parts and pieces were included. The headrest was pretty nice but not something I saw myself using often. The seat and mesh was really my problem. The seat was not comfortable and I could not see myself sitting on it all day with me being a remote employee. The outside area of the seat there is a hard plastic so when my butt would sink into the mesh I could feel the plastic on both outter sides near my legs and butt. Just wasn’t comfortable and like I said it could be because I am larger but that is the reason I chose the Dexley over the Hyken.
I was i need of a new comfy chair for working from home. I saw such great reviews of this chair and it was on sale so I pulled the trigger. Set up was easy and at first it feels great. The lumbar support is nice. The problem lies with the mesh bottom. I am a 6' 220lbs male. After sitting for more than a couple minutes the two hard plastic supports on the sides of the mesh seat start to dig into your bottom. You have to sit exactly in the middle but as the mesh stretches you get no more support on the sides. So basically its like sitting on super hard plastic on just the sides of your bum and leg. I bought online and didn't get to try out the chair first. I guess my bad. But even if i did try it out first i wouldn't have noticed. After trying multiple seat cushions with it i wanted to return it. Unfortunately i was past the 14 day window at that point. So now i'm on the search for a wide memory foam seat cushion to try and cover up the hard plastic sides. Not ideal. For a smaller male or an average sized woman this seat will probably fit just fine but just not for me.
