Hurt my back and base of chair broke within 1 year

Chair was comfortable at first but then I had back issues because the chair would not sit up straight even in the upright position. If that wasn't bad enough the the base of the chair cracked within a year making the bottom of the chair scrape my floor. I can't figure out how to repair it now. I'm just going to have to buy a better built chair that costs more money.
I had the older version of this chair that Staples made. I forget what it was called. In appearance they looked exactly the same. The new chair is great the adjustable lumbar support is perfect for my torso so it feels really good to sit in this upright. My only gripe is that it only has unlock to recline and lock to sit upright. The old model let you lock the back in 3-4 positions. I'd like the chair to be locked a little beyond perfectly upright which probably isn't good for me but felt the best. The new chair doesn't allow for that but it is still extremely comfortable to sit in.
I ordered this chair and it was delivered the next day. It was pretty easy to put together and it's super comfortable. With no padding under the mesh it creates less force on my tailbone.
I found this chair to be uncomfortable after about an hour. I am 6ft tall and that may have something to do with it. I prefer a chair where the seat actually tilts down in front but these are hard to find without spending a fortune. This chair may be ok for some but didn't fit me. I ended up returning it.
