I have seen this problem with other manufacturers as well so I will not make this a critical review however there is a problem between the size of the piston and the diameter of the hole at the center of the base where the piston becomes mounted. The engineers definitely made a mistake somewhere with either the anticipated specs of the piston or the size of the opening within the base because they do not properly fit. The issue is that I assembled the chair and slowly but surely the piston began to sink through the base to a level where the bottom of the piston began scraping the carpet. Luckily I have carpet and not wood floors otherwise you can imagine what would have happened. I imagine there are numerous manufacturers around the world for office chair pistons and the circumference can slightly vary by mere centimetres from one factory to the next so my intuition tells me that is the root of this defect. Basically the engineers didn't measure the piston radius properly to ensure the specs would fit properly into the radius of the base opening. so unfortunately it will not properly support the piston and chair unless you add wedges around the base opening. I came up with the idea of using one of those clear plastic caps which are included with laundry detergent bottles and I trimmed off the upper band so I could seat it within the base opening and now the piston sits/seats at the height where it should be. Otherwise the chair itself feels comfortable and well made. I also like the flip up arms.
Good comfort for the price. The main reason I purchased this chair was the arms folded up and the price. The chair actually fits under my desk with the arms down. I also like the leather trim on the chair. Very comfortable.
It's just as comfortable as it was at the store assembly wasn't too bad may have been easier with a second person when the back and seat with the arms. And I was pleasantly surprised my how easy it was able to roll on my carpeting. I meant to pick up one of those plastic things that you put on the floor for the seats and I'm glad that I did forget because I do not need it.
I have only had this chair for about 2 weeks but so far it is great. If seems to be very well built. The feature that attracted me to it first was the arms of the chair. They lift up out of your way if you don't want to use them and when raised they allow you to move closer to your work surface without banging the desk. Great design and functionality. feature.
