Disappointed...

The back of the chair is very comfortable and I love the cushioning and soft vinyl of the seat. That being said the chair has its faults. At it's highest setting the seat is too low. My elbows are UP on the desk not resting on the desk at a lower more comfortable position. The arms of the chair can be adjusted to a level that brings them even or above the desk neither of which is good. I ended up removing the arms which seems to work better. A prior review said that the seat make you feel like you are sliding forward and I find that to be true also only a slight amount. Every once in a while I have to shift back in the seat. It looks like such a nice chair (on-line) so I am really disappointed that it has so many flaws. My suggestion to others (and for myself in the future): Go to a local Staples store and test the seats. If you don't want to carry one home you can always write down the info on one that you've tested and liked and then order it on-line for delivery.

ComfortableTask Chair

This Corvair Luxura Task chair has a mesh back. The seat is the fake leathery stuff. It is a very comfortable chair especially considering the price and that it is rated for 2-3 hours of tasks at a time. I really like the mesh back - it breathes so you don't get too hot if you sit leaning back in it. The arms of it seem very lightweight so hopefully they last as long as the chair is supposed to. It was very easy to put together as well. It took my husband about 20 minutes total to unpack it and put it together. So far so good. Our experience with office chairs hasn't been the best so maybe Staples will outdo the other brands we've tried!

For the price very comfortable with nice lumbar support. Not sure if the tilt function actually works but it is already at a nice angle so I'm not messing with it. The seat is so soft I can feel one of the bolts near the middle but only if I focus on it. I like that the arms bolt on separately so technically they are optional if you hate arm rests. My biggest complaint is that the packaging is poorly designed. There is not much going on in the carton to separate and support the parts. When I picked it up at the store the carton was collapsing on itself and had holes in several places where things were poking out. The flaps were partly open and I was afraid something might be missing. I was lucky that the chair was complete and undamaged. This was the best one they had in stock so it seems this is something that should be improved upon.

Although I was initially sent home with the wrong chair which I didn't realize until I went to assemble it. Even though the cashier realized the price did not come up correctly they just gave me the $10 difference in price. After a 20 minute two-way drive I did finally get this chair. The price was great; it was on sale. I like that the arms are adjustable. With the mid-height back the chair doesn't overwhelm my room. Best of all it is comfortable and I think it will serve my purposes for years to come.

I love my new chair. The one I had for several years just didn't work for me any longer. My back hurt very bad after sitting in it for just a little while. I have used this one since Christmas & the lumbar support helps so much. Thankful I bought this chair.

Easy to put together. Make sure to follow instructions. The wheels did give me a little trouble because you have to force them into the holes on the legs otherwise it was a piece of cake. If you are kind of sensitive twords new plastic/rubber smells you may want to wait a couple days before using it. I ended up with a stuffy nose because of the new chair smell.

Good chair

I was looking for a durable replacement for my previous chair from Staples which had served me well for six years of everyday use. The Corvair is similar in size and appearance to my former chair (which is no longer sold) and is very reasonably priced. Assembly was quick with easy-to-follow directions. The chair easily adjusts both height and seat angle as well as straight and tilt-back mode. I'm seated at my desk for much of the day and the chair is quite comfortable. I consider it a good buy.
