This mesh chair is a great complement for my home office. It was delivered on the date promised. As packed in factory carton the essentials -- bolts wrench and instructions -- were right were they should have been: on top. The remaining parts were also packed to be available in the order of assembly. And though picture/diagram assembly instructions can sometimes be baffling these were clear and detailed enough that there was never a question regarding component positioning or bolt location. That's a nice touch. Assembly took about half an hour. Once assembled the chair requires very little by way of adjustment. Seat height range allows comfort for tall middle or short persons. The arm and head rests are also easily set for optimum comfort. It's going to take a few days to forget my old broken down used chair but this new one is already at home.
I'm reviewing this after using a fairly cheap leather office chair I've had for over 10 years. My back and behind would typically get sore after sitting in it for a few hours. I'd be forced to get up and stretch before I could sit again. I've sat in this chair for around 6-8 hours a day for a couple weeks and not had any pain. The chair is pretty comfortabIe. The adjustable armrests are nice and cushioned (albeit firmly). The headrest is a welcome addition. I think it's a decent ergonomic chair. However I noticed a few things: The chair has already developed a little creak to it when getting in/out of the chair. I don't like this as it's only going to get worse and worse. I'm also concerned about the mesh sagging over time. The armrests did not install symmetrically. The right armrest is a 1/2 inch forward more than the left armrest. At first I thought I screwed the armrest in the wrong holes or maybe I could have moved it back a little before screwing but they only install one way. A 1/2 inch is not a dealbreaker but I do consider it incorrect manufacturing. The lever to lock/unlock the chair recline does not slide in/out smoothly. It's finicky and I have to constantly fight with it to get it to lock/unlock. The mesh is pretty irritating to bare skin. It's comfortable if you got clothes on but if you were thinking of sitting in it shirtless (or pantsless) on a hot day you won't like it. I also wish it reclined farther back. It's not bad but I think it could have reclined an additional 30 degrees for a little napping. All in all I give it 3.75 stars out of 5. Would have been a 4 or 4.5 without the issues. But I'm decently satisfied with it so far.
