I am happy to report that I am very very happy with my recent purchase of the Decter Mesh Task Chair. It certainly adds a touch of class to me new office! I am so glad I chose this particular item. The chair fits me perfectly. I feel good when I sit down at my desk. Thank you. Lydia Carroll
After 11 weeks working in a dining room chair with extra cushions I had to get a comfortable chair. I wasn’t looking for one with a neck rest but it makes such a difference while sitting for long lengths of time. No more headaches! Love the flexible mesh fabric.
While the first delivery of this order cane in looking like the box fell off the truck and dragged to my home... OK that's the carrier not the seller. The replacement came in a pristine box plenty of padding and protection to avoid any damage or scratches. I put it together in about 40 minutes moving slowly and watching a TV show as I went along. All the parts were there as well as tool to tighten the bolts. Once assembled it took a bit of time for this dense old mind to interpret the pictures (we cannot have text instructions anymore we are not smart enough to either write or read them) I figured out how to change the seat back tilt lock. The chair is in my home office and so far I am quite pleased with it. Best part is the woven well-ventilated seat and back. This should be easy to keep clean even over years of use if it holds up to it. My last chair was more expensive and it failed at about 10 years. I did a significant rebuild of that in my shop and it lasted another 13 years and it's still working tho it had another metal fatigue failure a couple of months ago. This chair has metal only for the mechanical components. The rest is plastic including the casters. I have concerns with its durability over time. At 1/3 the price of my former chair maybe I am expecting too much eh? It probably won't matter to me but I have doubts this chair will hold up for 25 years even with repairs. We'll see.
