The chair has a strong chemical smell. Not sure if it's the mesh or the plastic it was wrapped in. I've had the chair for almost a week and I still smell it. I will wash with soap and water to see if it helps. If you have asthma like me it may be a trigger. If the smell doesn't bother you it's a fine chair. Easy to assemble and pretty firm.
My fiance whom this chair is for is 5'2" and this chair is perfect for her she can sit in it for an extended period of time without cramping or sweating and the headrest is positioned well for her. I on the other hand am 6'2" tall and the headrest is just barely above my shoulders and is not comfortable for me at all. Still give 4 starts though ss you do not need to install the headrest for the chair to function.
I love this chair. Although it was my son who actually put it together it appeared to be pretty easy to assemble. I appreciate the support it provides for long term use and I am so glad that I made the decision to buy.
After exactly one month of use the mesh seat bottom is pulling out of the seat frame. There is about a 6 inch section that has already torn out and the seat is sagging badly. Anyone who has sat on the chair is well below the stated 275 pound weight limit and the chair has been used for less than 5 hours per day. This is unfortunate as I find the seat itself comfortable but for the cost of this thing I should be able to expect more than 1 month of use before it falls apart.
