I tried this chair at the store and shopped around and decided on the dexley due to the price and features compared to other more expensive chairs I thought it was a good deal for a chair. But when I actually got it and said in it for a day at home I felt my back hurt more unfortunately. And that’s why I got it for the lumbar and back support but it was too high up for me even on the lowest adjustable position. It just didn’t work for me personally. I think this chair is more for taller or larger people maybe? Idk but testing it out for a day at home made me realize I want a more cushiony AND supportive chair so I’m doing to return this. I also lean back and stretch my arms up a lot during the day and my arms hit the back/sides of the chair (ouch!). I did appreciate the height adjustable arms but I wish they slid forward and back as well. Wish me luck as I continue my search for the right chair for me.
I'm 6'4" and 230 lbs. Most chairs of any kind are uncomfortable for me. Most seating positions are so low that my knees are usually higher than my hips. This is not only uncomfortable but causes anything in my front pockets too jettison out. The Dexley at max height is perfect for me . The width is more that enough too. Only real complaint is that the arm rest are too far apart. There is minimal adjustment during assembly but it is still uncomfortable playing PS4 with elbows on arm rest. The arm wrest only feel useful when sitting back watching a movie. If you can get this on sale with free shipping DO NOT hesitate get it while you can.
This chair was delivered in a large box for us to put together. It worked great! It came together without any problem. It is comfortable and looks great in my office.
I love the mesh on this chair and I can sit comfortably for hours without getting hot or in pain. I like that the armrest is adjustable up to 4 settings. The headrest is a bonus too. The only thing I wish this chair could have done better is the tilt lock. Even with the tilt lock enabled I would lean back and the back would tilt back just slightly. If it would lock in place at a 90-100 degree angle that would be perfect. Otherwise for $150 this chair is very much worth it.
The chair itself is great - the mesh is surprisingly comfortable coming from a leather / padded chair previously. The ergonomics are fantastic and I’ve found it’s really great for long sessions at the computer.
