Chair great, not base

I loved this chair, however after 9 months the bottom of the base crashed into the floor and it stopped rolling. Had to throw out a perfect chair because of the base
I spoent a lot of time considering chairs on youtube. I am struggling through employment at the moment but was in need of a chair. My general rule is that you should never skimp on anything between your feet and your but. Chairs, beds, carpets, shoes, etc. So I chose very carefully. I'm happy to let you know, this chair is quite comfortable and was definitely worth it. It's unfortunately a bit cheaper and if you can afford more definitly try to get a Colomy Atlas chair over this. But when you're on a budget and you plan on getting a long-term chair anyway, this'll do. This'll do.
Cons however and the reason I struggle with it, the handles are not adjustable in either horizonal movement to get them out of the way, and the headrest is only on a stable swivel. I tried to install the arms and the headrest loose because the screw holes are long slidable holes so I thought that meant I could customize how far back or out they go. This is unfortunately not the case. As you tighten the screws to ensure they are secure, the rests also fall inn on the chair.
Pluses though FAR outweigh these cons. It's a good chair. comfortable, I can sit cross-legged on it, the armrests do their job regardless, and the head rest, despite being inflexible, is out of the way when you want it to be. The adjustible lock for the back also ACTUALLY works unlike mosty of the chairs I have used.
What the title says. Its very comfortable if you like the mesh type chairs. I had a Herman Miller Mirra 2 until the mesh seat broke. was 200$ to get a new one so I figured id see what was available. Went in store and they had like 30+ chairs all out to sit on. Got to this one and felt like I was in my herman miller so i got it since it was on sale @ $150. Figured if I didnt like it, Id give it to my teenager. I do like it alot - just wish the arms could move forward and backwards but they only move up and down. Thats fine - im just nit picking at this point. I work from home and am in the chair for about 8 hours a week day easily. Have even fallen asleep in it when on call sometimes lol. Worth every cent
As someone who is 5'8" and often wears heels, I struggle with chairs being too low. This chair reaches a great max height that keeps my legs at the proper angle. It’s both functional and comfortable for a full day of work."
When you recline you can’t lock the chair in either of the three supposed positions. Otherwise not a bad chair, prob would not recommend unless the company can tell me why this is happening and what they intend to do to fix the problem.

This chair is great except for the headrest. It comes out too far from the chair. The depth of the seat is comfortable for a short person: 5'2. I will be returning for the other chair that looks identical to this one which I sat in at the store. I bought the wrong one because the right one was in the wrong spot.
