What a relief to lean your head and shoulders back on a high back chair. The Rutherford replaces the six year old Staples medium back and the benefit of a high back make it a new essential feature for office chairs. Great assembly instructions. Pre-threading bolts to be sure you're not 'cross-threading' on assembly is a handy step to test fit fasteners. The step up in seat cushion thickness differentiates the Rutherford from more economical models. With only a few days in service it's hard to see anything of concern in quality and assembly ease. Well done Staples.

As it worked out I got the floor model as it was put together perfectly. The one I bought was put together sloppily & lopsided. Upon my returning it the person there only offered to tighten the screws. He failed to understand basic mechanic rules that only tightening does not realign parts. I told him I liked the floor model and was willing to take that one and my receipt and he can deal with the other one. There is a failure of understanding of some workers assembling furniture that must be done in a particular method.
