Awesome, Easy and Fun!

I got this for Christmas and LOVE it. It is easy to clean and cooks great we travel a lot for kids and livestock events! I have yet to have anything really stick to the pan! The only thing I would like to see is a lid to be able to store it in the refrigerator a bit easier! I’ll be buying for gifts in the feature!

Love my Presto Nomad Crock Pot

I don't know why this little gem of a slow cooker isn't advertised more. I use several crock pots when hosting pot lucks at home or attending family BBQ's and this crock is by far my favorite. Traveling with those other crock pots always presented spill issues...of which there were many. The Presto Nomad solved that problem...no more having to clean my car up! Not only that but the 8 quart pot is plenty big enough for the large crowds I feed. It features high, low and warm settings and its unique look draws a lot of attention. The crock lid, when in use, is attached to the base, just flip it up which alleviates a drippy lid and having to find a place to set the drippy lid while you get your food. Clean up is a breeze as both the pot and lid are removable which I hand wash with a little Dawn dish soap. (Not sure if it's dishwasher safe or not as hand washing is just my preference on cookware.) My current unit is a few years old, I use it often and it works and looks as good as the day I took it out of its box the first time. Highly recommend this traveling Nomad crock pot whether you're cooking at home or taking it on the road!

Missed opportunities....

Used this for the first time tonight and works as advertised. I feel like they missed a couple of easy layouts for improvments:
1. It doesn't come with a lid for storing in the fridge after use. This makes no sense and I will have to use foil to cover every time to store unused portion.
2. The lid should lock in one of the down positions, but does not. Would have been easy to add a lock on the back side when flipped down.

Love everything else about it and would have went with 5 stats with above features included.

Awesome cooker!

I bought this about a month ago and I am very pleased! I used it to keep soup warm during a potluck and it stayed warmer a lot longer than the soups in the standard slow cookers. I also used it to cook a pot roast and it was true to time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Handle makes carrying a breeze.

I bought the 8 quart Nomad especially to use for work potlucks because I liked that it has a handle that makes it easy to carry from my car into my workplace. I like the utensil holder and the little whiteboard as well. My only complaint is that there is no timer mechanism. But it's light years easier for me to carry do my goal was met in purchasing this. I got a lot of comments about it at the last potluck. I think some of my coworkers want one now.
