Best crockpot to take to work or parties. Used this 4 times now in 2 months to travel. It's definitely a conversation starter asking where I got it. I love this crock pot in its ease for portability. Bought my daughter one as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Rubber seal absorbs food odors

I love the idea of this. Great for camping and traveling. The first time I used it, I made sauerkraut and hot dogs. The rubber seal absorbed the sauerkraut smell, even after several washings. I went as far to disassemble the lid, removed the rubber seal, soaked it, washed it again and it still smells. Hopefully after a few cooks the smell wis dissipate.

Sauerkraut certainly has a scent, doesn't it? This can fade over time, especially with different types of food in the cooker. Some thoughts would be to place the cover in the sun for a few hours, try vinegar, lemon juice to eliminate some of the odor. Time will help.

Great for all occasions

I've had the Nomad 8qt cooker for many years now. I had lost the drip cup and came online to order one. Decided to write a revue while I was here. I've cooked almost everything in it that a slow cooker can in it and love it! Stew, chili, roasts all come out fantastic while not sticking to the pan. I decided to buy another pan today as well because Sometimes I have a lot of leftovers in one and want to start cooking another dish. If you're having any doubts about buying, relax. You won't regret it. It's versatile, and tough. If you have a vehicle with an AC outlet it's perfect to keep food warm while transporting to your event.

Better than expected

The backyard, taking food over to other peoples houses and parties, camping, traveling, the list goes on and on. It is also very easy to use and to clean. It also keeps the food evenly hot without burning. I love that it has a small dry erase board on it to write what it is too. This makes it perfect for parties and friend gatherings. Love this thing, which is not what I expected.

Versatile Slow Cooker Great for Traveling

The locked in lid to carry the slow cooker is a key component to know the product won't spill on our vehicle is an amazing feature. Food stays hot and cooks evenly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This built like a tank!! Such an awesome slow cooker and makes traveling to potlucks EASY!! The inside tin comes out to clean and even has a steam catch on the back so it doesn’t leak all over the car. I love that it has the removable elastic holder on top for utensils too.
