Best Air Fryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh my goodness! This is absolutely the best air fryer I have ever had. It is super easy to use and I really love the huge 5.5 quart size. I am able to cook an entire bag of fries or chicken wings; about half way though the cook time I just shake them around and they come out perfect every time. I am still in complete amazement that after cooking chicken wings or french fries which can get very greasy, there is hardly any grease left behind. What I love even better than the size is how easy it is to clean. It literally just wipes right out, no scrubbing is ever involved. If someone is in the market for a new air fryer I would definitely recommend this air fryer over any. I am so impressed with this air fryer, that is has now become my new favorite appliance out of everything

Love this Ninja Air Fryer Max XL

I have been wishing and dreaming to find the perfect air fryer. Dreams came true the day the Ninja AF161 Max XL air fryer arrived on my doorsteps. It's perfect size for my family. It matches beautifully with everything in my kitchen. The large nonstick 5.5-quart size basket holds enough for me to complete dinner in less time. I dont have to wait on 2-4 batches to get ready. Since opening the box I've prepared meals everyday. From hot wings, fries and a slab of country style ribs. The next recipes are catfish, dehydrated pineapples and a cake.
The owners guide and quick start guide that includes recipes are very easy to understand. I was able to unbox and start cooking in 1 night. I was so nervous the 1st time I used it. I was gentle opening ut. Bo need the handle is large and strong. The buttons are firm and theres no way to accidentally push the wrong button. It is not cool to touch, but you dont have to fear burning yourself if you do touch it while it's on. It's not extremely loud it's the same sound as my microwave when it's on. There is no greasy smell. Clean up is easy I like having the option to wash by hand or using the dishwasher. I have no cons at the moment I am really happy about the Ninja AF161 Max XL. I reccomend this fryer to my friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the Ninja® Air Fryer Max XL AF161 a little while ago and it is great. I try not to eat fried food and I never thought I was missing out by not having a deep fryer, so an air fryer just seemed like the right replacement that I did need. So I was skeptical about how much I would use this... maybe a few frozen french fry's or tater tots for the kids. But oh my goodness I want to use this for everything. The french fry's are so crispy and golden brown.They cook in a few minutes. We made fried chicken and mozzarella sticks and they were so moist. Clean up is a breeze. The best part is its healthier for you.Air Frying made easy! Love this product!

So much fun to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to use an air fryer for the first time. I trust the Ninja brand so I had high hopes and I wasn't disappointed. I'll start with some of my initial impressions. When I got the package, I was surprised by how heavy it was, but once I had it up on my counter, it was easy to move. On first inspection, the tray was very hard to pull in and out. It seemed to be jammed, however it slid in and out smoothly after I used it for the first time. Putting that out there so that if others experience the same thing, they don't think they need to exchange it before even using it. The instruction booklet makes it fairly easy to start using the Ninja Air Fryer right away. And the instrument panel is pretty straightforward and intuitive. A nice feature is that if you open the tray, it temporarily shuts off until you slide the tray back in. I was scared that I'd be met with a rush of hot air when opening the tray, but it was pretty contained (I was excited and kept checking how my food was doing). The back of the unit does emit a lot of hot air, so I would keep it away from anything that you might not want exposed to that. I was afraid that there would be a lot of hot air everywhere and strong smells, but that was not the case either. Other than the hot air coming out of the back, the heat and smell is fairly contained compared to if you were deep frying food on the stove. The air fryer is very sturdy. It doesn't feel at all flimsy and so far seems to be made very well. However this XL version is pretty big. It takes up a decent amount of counter space, plus the fact that you can't put things behind it (at least things that you don't want getting hot) adds to the amount of counter space reserved for the fryer. Maybe I should have gone for the smaller one, but I like that the XL version can hold more food. Regardless, I'm willing to sacrifice the counter space because this baby is fun to use. I decided to use baby creamer potatoes for my first go-around because I was curious to see how crispy they'd get on the outside. I just cut them in halves/thirds, sprayed them with some truffle oil, trickled with some salt and some "everything but the bagel" seasoning, put them on air fry mode for 25 minutes and excitedly waited to see the results. I didn't even need to turn the potatoes over. The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth soft on the inside. The seasoning was nicely distributed and I ate the whole batch in one shot. I'm so excited to try other things in this air fryer. I think I'll significantly up my vegetable intake now that I have the Ninja Air Fryer. I love that it takes so little time to prepare food and that cleanup is so easy. These came out so much tastier than oven baked potatoes and I had to use so much less oil, all while exceeding my expectations in flavor payoff. Now I can't stop thinking of what other concoctions I can make in this air fryer. I read that you can even bake bread in this which is exciting! I like quick and easy food prep because when I get home, I'm usually starving. The Ninja Air Fryer just seems perfect for me.

This Ninja Air Fryer Max XL is just the appliance I've been looking for! It is actually a few appliances in one so you save on counter space. It "fries" well, everything comes out crispy, not soggy like fish sticks and pizza can be coming out of an oven. I love that it is healthier as I'm working on eating healthier. It is so easy to use, very user friendly, and clean-up is a breeze! Love that! There are enough settings for all of my cooking needs. It has a pause button which is nice, a cooking temperature sticker to tell you how long and what temperature to use for various foods, and a large crisping tray. I am so happy with this air fryer!
The only con I have is it's a big loud buy not overly, just think it would be nice to be a little quieter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Toxic smell

We bought this air fryer a month ago, followed all the instructions. Used it 5 times thinking the terrible smell of burnt plastic will go, but it didn't happen, it smells terribly when we turn it on. I think it's unsafe to use it! Poor quality.

Bought this fryer and first time I used it I pushed start and it would not come on. It just says "CLS". I wish there was a "0" star. I'm so aggravated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this on a whim cause I'd heard and read people talking about the air fryer and how easy they were to use. Has multiple settings for super frying to broiling or even dehydrating. Cooks up amazing full chicken and large batches of chicken wings or drummies super easy. Cook up some awesome homemade fries, some chopped up and seasoned potatoes and veggies come out great too. Best part is how little (if any) fried food smell is in the kitchen afterwards. Food is cooked super quickly and comes out really juicy and not overcooked. Cleanup is also a breeze. Only complaint is I wish I would've tried one of these sooner.
