Did not detect Plastic Smell

I was mortified I would smell and taste plastic as all air fryers in one review or another talk about. But none here. First foray in to air frying, but other than hot dogs everything has turned out great. I use it outdoors only because Mr. Sensitive nose can't stand cooking smells. Even GOOD ones. I am still stymied about the burner cleaning. Not a lot can be done there. I have used this quite a bit and nothing is really hanging up there or looking bad. BUT also I haven't fried a lot of greasy things other than about 1/2 dz pounds of bacon. ( I would think that would do it) Baked potatoes are awesome. The cleaning appears to be an issue - to me- on all the air fryers though.

Ok, so this is day three cooking with the Max XL. My first attempt was frozen fish filets.
The fish came out perfectly cooked and crispy. Second attempt was frozen "Checker's" french fries. Used the Max Crisp setting. A little too crispy for my liking. Next time I'll use the 390 setting. Last night was fresh, naked chicken wings. Simply tossed with a little pile oil, seasoned with salt, pepper, and lemon pepper. 390 for 24 minutes, shook them a couple time= perfect. Tonight, some beautiful Maryland crab cakes. Should turn out great.

We bought the Ninja XL air fryer to replace the Big Boss fryer. What a difference it makes. So easy to clean and does all that we need perfectly. It’s counter footprint is much smaller also. Did I mention clean up, so easy. We would recommend this fryer for anyone looking to get their first or replacement fryer.

I never write reviews but this one deserves at least 10 stars. We do a lot of wings, and not just during football season and this thing is amazing. Clean up is a breeze also. A nonstick interior that stuff just glides off of. We loved it so much we bought our newlywed daughter one. She and her new husband went crazy! I would highly recommend for sure!

Our Ninja Air Fryer has quit working after only 3 months! We have tried all the trouble shooting. So disappointing because we really liked it - when it worked.
