I gave this Cuisinart blender just a three because every time i made a shake with frozen fruit the blade would come loose. I returned the first one only to receive another one doing the same thing. Very, very disappointed as i thought Cuisinart was a durable and good product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very good foe making smoothies. Two things to note: it turns the “wrong” way: right to loosen and left to tighten. It’s also pretty noisy, wish it were a little bit quieter

It works great, replaced another cuisinart we had for 15 years. Love the travel cup smoothie function. The only negative is this unit is VERY loud and literally will vibrate off the counter if you don't hold on to it. (I didn't believe a review I had read before purchasing, I see with my own eyes now)
