The case started out good and has serious protection. I ran into a lot of accessories not working with the phone because the case was so thick. The blue outer cover didn't fit well after a few months. It was stretched out and kept falling off. I wouldn't buy another case of this style again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ok case. Big.

I bought this case thinking it had a port cover for the S-pen. It does not. It would help if the case description and pictures were more descriptive and less hyperbole. Anyone who has owned a Note series phone knows how the S-pen is prone to getting stuck from dust/grit. It definitely makes the phone larger. Will probably look for a different case.

Although you bring up a valid point about the potential for debris infiltration, we believe that risk is minimal and have opted to instead allow for immediate access to the stylus.

Grat protection but slways disappointed because the charging port cover because it is just attached rubber so after daily use it eventually just tears where it is attached. Improvement needed there. But other than that it is a good case.
This is my third or fourth OtterBox. I will use nothing but their products because they work! I'm a klutz and have dropped my phones more times than I can count. But my OtterBoxes always come through. When I got my latest phone, the first thing I ordered was a new OtterBox. Love the purple color, too.

Great case with one exception!

So I've been using otterbox for the last probably 10 years. I always get the defenders because I work in plants outside so I need all the protection I can get. I've had this particular case on my s22 ultra for the last 6 months or so and it has worked wonders. I've dropped different phones from ladders, lap, car doors, and even a manlift at about 25' and no busted screens or broken phones and at 25'+ that says something. Anyway the reason for only 4 stars is the dust and dirt that get in the sides and behind the case. The case is not that easy to get off to clean but all that dirt etc have scratched the sides, back, and front edge of my phone. So great case BUT if you don't clean it every day then it'll get scratches from case.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great if you're using just the case

the case is great, nothing is wrong with it so far after many drops and frequently opening and closing the charge port cover. but even otterbox's own screen protector hits up against the case's edges, leaving unsightly bubbles around the entire rim of the screen protector. i'd also really appreciate it if they kept up with the times and added some sort of support for magnetic phone mounts given the size of the case. preferably an integrated plate, but i'd be happy with a recessed mounting area molded into the outside of the hard case so i can put my own on and the rubber is still flat (yes, i can still feel it under there). ended up just putting it on the outside, but now the rubber backing's negated entirely for grip and it slides off surfaces easily, and fast. other than that, always ran defender cases and only broke a screen once (thanks curved screen bs)
although this was advertised as being able to wirelessly charge my S22 plus phone, IT DOES NOT!
