I bought my first one 15 years ago and still have it. Just bought this second one, and it has the same beautiful weight, ergonomic styling, and superior blade. I've tried many others over the years, but nothing comes close to this knife.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this, a relative thought I might not find this 8” chef as comfortable as my go-to favs- the 6” chef and 7” santuko.
I’m pleased to report that’s not the case.
In fact, I might actually prefer it -though might be the novelty. My standbys are about 25 years old!
I’d love to try them all.
These are incredible knives.

Keeping the tradition

I grew up with the Four Star line in my parents kitchen and now that I am on my own I didnt even think of looing for another blade. The handle material is super comfortable and gives me confidence in my grip. The traditional blade design has never changed and is consistantly sharp and stays sharp for a long time. Im so glad that some things never change. The German quality and engineering really shine thrgouh here.

This knife is exactly what I was looking for! The Four Star line of knives is made in Germany and is made with the Zwilling Special Formula steel which is guaranteed for life, easy to sharpen and holds an edge for a very long time. Sharper than some of the other German knives on the market with a 15 degree angle instead of the the traditional 20 degree.
Very well balanced and is so comforta I can finally do some serious chopping without having to take long breaks between jobs.
Bought one as a gift for my daughter and she is just as pleased with it. Guess I'll have to by another one for my other daughter!

Lightweight Handle

I really like the lightweight handle design that comes with this knife. You get the premium forged German steel with a handle that fits the curve of your palm well without being too heavy. The 8” Chef is a must have for any kitchen.
