A little disappointed with the gouge in the handle. Supposed to be brand new and seems like it is with the exception of tge handle.

Love this knife it's the all around workhorse in our kitchen amid an array of other German, French and Japanese knives to choose from. Takes a lot of abuse and bounces right back with a couple of swipes on the honing steel.
