Reliable compact SSD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little storage device. This ssd has 2tb of storage and includes a usb a to c cable with an adapter included (usb a to c). The transfer speed is quick, the device itself has a nice metal build and does not require any external power supply. This is perfect for someone on the go or someone who wants a reliable ssd in a compact size.

Plenty of storage and compact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SSD drive was perfect to store all of my files and media I wanted saved. It works great at transferring documents, pictures, and videos. It’s pretty fast and has 2tb of storage which is more than enough storage for everything I use it for. I mostly use it to save my pictures and videos. It’s small and lightweight which makes it easy to carry it around.

I had a Kingston Bolt, which became obsolete with updates to operating systems. I loved that little gadget and hoped that this product would be as good or better. Alas, I find it much harder to use, particularly because - unlike the Bolt - there is no App to use on my phone. I realize it has a LOT more storage capacity, but it is not as good for simply getting files off my phone and into my computers.

I was concerned from some of the reviews I read, after ordering, that it may not have a USB C 3 connection, but it does. I got close to the rated speed when tested with Black Magic Speed test and a high speed USB C cable (“thunderbolt 4” - so confusing, I know). I never tested the speed with the included short cable. However, during the process of creating a new ~350GB Time Machine backup to it, it seemed to slow down, which certain types of SSD memory cells are known to do. (Not positive that it wasn’t T.M.’s fault though.) Took ~30+ minutes. 2nd backup was much shorter and didn’t slow down as a result.
I would recommend this to a friend!
