Great backup for computer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this kingston xs1000 1tb ssd as a backup for my macbook and so far so good. I like that it is small and compact form factor I can easily take it along with me to work, etc. the transfer of data seems fast enough my needs.

Compact, Quick, and a lot of Space to Store Files

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For over a decade, I have worked with numerous external drives for all types of computing uses. The Western Digital XS1000 1TB external USB-C drive is an incredible leap forward in terms of capacity and speed. The external interface (usually over USB) typically slows down data transfer rates, but even with the included USB-C to USB-A cable transfers of 50GB+ completed in less than 5 minutes. When I tried my USB-C to USB-C cable the speed just increased. The small footprint of the drive makes it easily portable and it's lightweight as well. One major advantage of the SSD is that there are no spinning disks to worry about damaging in transit. This drive is my new standard for portable storage and I couldn't recommend it enough to anyone who needs a lot of space on the go!

Having big memory

I’m so grateful for this new device and it’s not big and heavy to carry. I think I can run my old Asus mini laptop with it.
