Too difficult to use

There are way too many steps to get this working. I should just be able to plug it in and do what I need.

This back up drive did not work with Mac OS Sequoia so I had to return it.

Great accessory to my laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love My Passport for Mac. I transferred all my images, I take lots of pictures, have many generations of old family recipes and documents stored into my laptop hard drive, its a great way to reduce the space being taken up. Simply drag, drop files to and from the Mac/computer, organize the information and I'm able to share as well. You can also activate a password if you'd like. What a wonderful accessory to my laptop, its small, easy to store and keep on my small desk, easy to transport, easy to install. It definitely seems of great quality and durability. I would definitely recommend the My Passport Mac.

I put all my cherished file on it, and now I want to get them out, it never works. They're stuck on it.
It makes me so sad. I just wanted to save my files from a computer to another....now I am doomed to imagine them on a poor little box. All my memories.

The best practice is to run diagnostics with Data WD drive Utilities when a drive does not perform as expected or is performing abnormally. We recommend avoiding USB hubs for external hard drives and therefore connect the drive directly to the USB 3.0 port on the computer.

If the test is ambiguous, we would recommend you to create an RMA through our support website and get the drive replaced if it's under warranty.
