we bough one and the door camera dosn't work. it wont connect and it keeps saying it has a update, but when you try to update it it wont and when it dose it stays at the old update basiclay never updated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great with app and tv

We are getting older and do not realize people are at our front door sometimes before it’s to late . Friends family neighbors and delivery drivers we missed them all . Now my phone my grandchild’s and my wife’s phone give an instant notice if someone approaches our front door. Is does not matter if we are at home or not we can still see the person and ask what they need . We had a intruder sneak in while my wife was giving a child a bath and I was gone . I walked in on him . He apologized said he needed diaper money and ran off . She never knew he was in the house . That will never happen again

I was fairly certain these cameras were only recording some of the time when they are supposed to. Now I'm certain.
I left my house for not even an hour to take one of my dogs to the vet. I returned home and someone had left a water bowl out for my other dog (she was probably very stressed as she's never been left home alone without my other dog). I went to go look at the camera to see which neighbor it was to thank them and give their bowl back but none of my many roku cameras recorded ANYTHING. My dogs have access to the doggie door, AC and plenty of water, but the kind neighbor must have thought she didn't.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Kay! This doesn't sound right, and we'd like to help. Please check if the Roku Smart Home app and doorbell firmware are up to date. Ensure the Person option is enabled under Smart Detection in the app by navigating to the Settings of the specific camera and then clicking on Event Recordings. Also, make sure there aren’t any scheduled rules that might affect when event recordings occur by tapping the [...] at the top of the app and clicking edit rules. If it still doesn’t work, perform a factory reset on the doorbell by pressing and holding the setup button until the status light turns solid yellow, then release it and wait for it to flash again. Set up the doorbell as a new device using this article: https://support.roku.com/article/7895816787991. If the issue persists, please contact us at https://support.roku.com/contactus. I've had this since it first came out, it's proven to be really easy to use and i love that it works with my roku tv and streaming devices
