Waste of Money! Piece of crap!

Bought this for both doorbell and supposed camera features to keep an eye on our house when home or if we had to go away for anything. I even paid for the subscription for the better features. I went step by step setting it up. Needless to say highly disappointed as it didn't record or alert me to multiple things. My new vehicle was in view of the sensor and etc. It never alerted the motion or anything that someone was attempting to mess with it. When we would go to appts it wouldn't alert us in the app of anything that was happening.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great camera for the price

It’s a good camera for making sure your house is safe and to see who is coming on your property and the door bell is loud. Putting the doorbell up took maybe 1 min after you get it set up on the app. The app is user friendly and set up
Is quick. Also it charges super quick. Only issue I have had is once in awhile it does go super dark and then it goes back to normal not sure why but it’s still a great affordable camera.

My new favorite camera!

I have struggled for years now with not having a doorbell or camera and this device was the perfect easy fit for my needs. Super easy and i love having confirmations of visitors and packages. I would highly recommend this device for ease of use and clarity.

Not worth it, even on sale.

I got this on sale and even then, it was a huge disappointment. Initial setup was a pain, it didn't want to connect to the wifi. Once it was set up, it consistently disconnects and wont reconnect (the only device I have that does this). The live video quality is poor, and event videos won't save. About an hour after initial setup, all events just take a still image instead of a video, an issue that's been complained about online for years. And to top it off, I have to pay for shipping for my return all because this piece of junk doesn't do the only task it's supposed to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible detection capabilities

1- it doesnt start recording people until they are pretty close. So people walking by the house dont get recorded. 2- it doesnt detect vehicles pulling up to the house, but will frequently record absolutely NOTHING and then claim it is a vehicle. This detection capabilities are absolute trash and Roku really jumped the gun putting this trash product on the market.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

In the meantime, you might try checking your detection settings—ensure that it is set to "High" so that your doorbell will pick up more movement in the frame. Similarly, if your camera is recording nothing, it can sometimes pick up trees or shadows in the wind. Some customers choose to add a detection zone around these trees or shadows, or adjust the event recordings to only pick up Smart detection items.

I bought this at the recommendation of my daughter and could not be more pleased. The clarity of this thing is amazing. It's nice to not have to be in the house and still be able to answer the door if someone comes. The battery life is also unreal in this thing as I've only charged it once in the two months I've had it. I would highly recommend this product to anybody looking for this type of thing.
