Drive was defective as received. Required warranty replacement with still hasn't been processed. Had to pay shipping for return of defective drive.

Thank you Edmond K for your helpful email and links. Upgraded from 8tb to 32tb in my 2 bay NAS. It was reasonably fast and easy. Of course running raid 1 cuts the usable storage in half but 16tb is more than enough for my house needs.
