B850i definitely best itx board with 3 usb-c ports. I’m using this in a portable system a Jonsbo NV10 and ryzen 9 9850x with an intel b50 graphics card. A future AI test workstation.

For a compact Linux workstation, it works, but I wish there was: - Cleaner BIOS UI (more like the Thinkpad) - Better Linux support for firmware updates (fwupd) - An easy way to change the boot logo (ROG branding is not the most professional)
I also have not been able to get resume from suspend working.
Dual SSD and ECC support (not tested) are nice.

Overall, I’m really happy with my Mini-ITX board. I’d definitely recommend the Strix B850i, as it matched the listing description perfectly and was shipped and packaged with care. Setup and BIOS were a breeze, and performance has been flawless, just like with all my other Asus products. My only gripe is that there’s not enough space for the M2-2 underneath since the board can’t accommodate a cooler—at least not one with a fan.

The ASUS ROG Strix B850-I Gaming Wi-Fi is an excellent Mini-ITX motherboard that delivers high-end performance in a compact size. Build quality is top-notch, and the board is packed with premium features that make it perfect for gaming and high-performance small-form-factor builds.
Setup was smooth thanks to ASUS’ user-friendly BIOS and helpful features like BIOS Flashback and clear labeling. The board supports the latest AMD AM5 Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 processors, fast DDR5 memory, and PCIe 5.0 for both GPU and storage, making it very future proof.
Connectivity is another highlight. With Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 2.5Gb Ethernet, USB-C 20Gbps, and plenty of high-speed ports, it handles gaming, streaming, and everyday use with ease.
Despite the small ITX size, thermal design and power delivery are excellent, keeping the system stable even under heavy loads. The included M.2 heatsinks, quality audio (SupremeFX), and clean ROG aesthetics make it a premium choice for compact builds.
Pros -Strong performance and stable power delivery -PCIe 5.0 GPU + dual PCIe 5.0 M.2 support -WiFi 7 and 2.5G LAN -Great BIOS and build quality -Perfect for high-end SFF gaming builds
Cons -Only two RAM slots (normal for ITX) -Premium price
