I purchased the Omni Book because support for Windows 10 was ending. Setup was very smooth, just following the online directions. As expected, opening files and websites is much faster than on my Windows 10 machine, which had a mechanical drive. Initially I had trouble accessing my old documents and photos. I got messages like "Word experienced an error in trying to open the file", and for the photos, Format not supported, or may be corrupted. Then, after some cogitation, I found I could do this by going to One Drive. Now everything seems accessible.
I hate all of the steps you have to go through to set your machines up .... It is ridiculous! And during the set up you have to get updates? that take over 30 min to down load and install?? these where straight from the factory 12 laptops and they took hours to get them all set up ready for students to use. I mean you have to turn off MS 360 THREE Times!!
I bought this because it was a very good price for a system with 32GB and 1TB storage. It works well, and lets me develop a blog using ASP.NET. No problem running SQL server and other software needed for it. As a thin laptop, I don't use it for games; it would probably overheat. But it does what I need it to do well.
