High Quality, Sleek and beautiful, poweful yet quiet, and easy-to-install

After doing days of research to find the best range hood, I settled on the Hauslane PS18. Compared to other range hoods in a similar price range, this hood was the most powerful and quietest. After a few days of using it, I can confirm that all smells and gases are pulled straight out of the kitchen instead of wafting through the entire home. It has a timeless, elegant design that is easy to clean and use. The permanent easy-to-clean baffle filters means that I don't have to worry about the hassle of replacing filters.
Overall the range hood is excellent and I have no complaints about the product itself. The only downside to having such a powerful range hood is that in our area (IL) residential code requires make-up air for range hoods over 400 CFM. This is a bit of hassle and increases costs a bit, but a necessary pill to swallow since the heavy south-asian cooking in our household requires a powerful hood.

UC-PS18 works and looks great

This hood replaced a very low-end NuTone so it didn't have to do much to outperform our old hood. The NuTone sucked at sucking and sounded like a jet taking off when it was cranked all the way up. I guess all hoods make some noise and the PS18 is no exception. It would be great if it was a little quieter on Hi Speed but not at the expense of sucking, which it does really well. Installation was a snap although it's WAY heavier than the NuTone was. All-in-all, we like it a lot. Delivery was super fast, too.

I love my new range hood. I mounted a 36 inch range hood over my 30 inch range, to give it a more bigger commercial look.
It looks fabulous and is whisper quite on the lower settings.
It looks great flush mounted on my dropped soffit over the range.

UC-PS18 range hood

A very powerful range hood compare to my old hood.I love this product very much, the design is beautiful and it was very easy to instal jus follow the instructions on YouTube. I am glad that I picked the UC-PS18 range hood over other brand and the price very good. I will recommend this product to all my family and friend. A++++++++++

Very easy to install so far works well. Better then my old vent. The exhaust pipe from the original kitchen build was offset and 7”. I bought a 7”-6” adapter and some 6” flex and got it connected. Not the most ideal but cents well and not air leaks. Barely used it but so far we love it.
