Very solidly built. No problems getting it installed, not too loud even on the highest setting. Extremely pleased.Note that this is a 2 man (minimum) job, this hood is heavy. As far as the prior reviews pointing out the keyhole slots not allowing you to put the screws in first, thats exactly what I did without issue. You just need to have the hole for the vertical vent big enough to allow it.Also note that the power for this is a pre-wired 3 prong connector like for a microwave range hood. Fortunately my cabinet already had an outlet in it from when the house was built. Fished the cable up through the same cutout as the vent plugged it in and viola, power complete. If you have a hard wired vent you will need to make accommodations somehow.

We recently renovated our kitchen and were looking for a range that had good suction for our gas stove and that was going to be quiet! After weeks of looking and researching we settled on the Hauslane 30" PS18 and are very happy with our purchase. It's quieter than I thought it would and actually clears cooking odors! It's a huge upgrade from our microwave range! 4 stars because it is a bit of a pain to install specially since it came with the protruding plug already attached.

Very good cabinet range hood

I order this to replace a microwave range hood that caused oil problems. I have used this for almost a month and it exceeds expectations. The installation and customer support when ordering the Under Cabinet Range Hood was very easy and straight forward. It does an amazing job at removing the smell and contaminants in the air. Not only does it work well but it looks very nice and is a great addition to my kitchen and is very easy to clean. Overall this has been a great product that has helped me when cooking and cleaning a lot.

?I often don't feel like writing reviews because of laziness, but I had to write one for this. Normally, I take negative reviews into high consideration because people complain more than then compliment and I want to hear people's issue about products. With that said read the negative reviews all you want, for this unit, but trust the majority. This unit has been my best friend. I have an electric stove so the burners often smoke because of dropped or spilled oil or food. This has always left my house smelling like burnt toast.We rarely go out to dinner so most of our meals are home cooked . From burgers, bacon, fish, fried chicken, steak, our stove is usually pretty active, leaving the house smelling like what was cook days after we finished. So far I've made fried chicken, a full breakfast, and pan seared salmon. Outside smells like a restaurant and the inside has a faint smell of food. When frying food or just making something small the number 2-3 setting is perfect. When searing food, I turned it up to the max, just to be sure the house didn't get smokey.With that said...Here's the complaints...The only physical problem with this hood is the metallic smell, maybe because it's new. Other than that, this hood requires 6 inch duct. Working with the 6 inch duct was the hardest part because I went through the cabinet rather the ceiling or above the cabinet. You probably will have to do some improvising when installing your duct work. HVAC tape is your friend, and you'll need a good friend to help you fit the unit properly. After installing everything, I tested it out and it worked amazingly. It's not the most quiet hood, but I didn't think it would whisper pumping out that much air. Lets just say it does its job and for the price, it does it very well.

Works well, looks good above our range, and is relatively quiet on low settings. We cook regularly and need good ventilation, which this hood provides. We also find the countdown timer useful. Delivery was prompt with no issues. Our only complaint is that occasionally the controls seem to stop working (unclear if it is the hood itself or an electrical issue on our end, but flipping the breaker works to reset it). For the price, it would be 5 stars otherwise.
