Very powerful, bad installation, noisy buttons

The hood looks great and is incredibly powerful.
Installation was awful for the rear vent. The top screw placement is right in the corners, near the edge of the cabinet (even with a filler like 2x4 you need to be exact) and near the rear cord hold. Rear vent was off by 1/8" from old rear vent requiring some dry wall cutting and duct bending. A template for pre-drilling screw holes in cabinet would be really nice. One hour project became five hours.
Not super keen on touch screen. It's noisy and there is no easy single tap to turn on the light if the hood is off. Don't care for clock. But I knew the hood came with a touchscreen when buying, so can't dock it for points here.
Bulbs included have a nice yellow light, but are a little dim. Easily swapped them for the bulbs from my old hood and the lighting is fantastic.
The sheet metal in the back is a bit flimsy, notably compared to old Whirlpool hood but honestly doesn't matter since the stainless steel is robust and where the structure comes from.
Now it's up, we're happy. As noted, far more powerful than our old hood. Slightly annoyed that even the lowest fan level is louder than our old low level on old hood, would really like lower levels even if not powerful. But, overall it's far more performant. Previously the old hood on high (much louder) wouldn't do much for kitchen smells. This hood quickly and effectively eliminates them.

Excellent Range Hood!!

I bought Hauslane range hood replacing my microwave range hood. Products works as described. Suction is good and no odor in the house when cooking. We cook most Indian/Asian dishes which generate smoke and when this range hood is turned ON, its all clean air. I am happy with the product so far and recommend others too.

1. Change mounting design to ease mounting screws especially rear screws.
2. Reduce a fan sound even lower than it has currently to have more silent air experience while cooking.

Great, handsome hood vent

This thing is a work-horse, and it looks great to boot! Would 100% purchase again. After years of dealing with a non-vented microwave unit about our stove, this is a massive upgrade. I can finally cook some of my favorite dishes without fear of smelling them for days after enjoying them.

I bought this hood a month or so ago. It came very well packaged, it’s a beautiful sleek design. Instructions for installation were very well laid out and easy to understand. The controls are easy to use and it moves more air then I could need even, when searing steak! If I had to say something negative about this product, it would be that the baffle on the exhaust has a slight rattle at high fan speed. This may also just be due to a redundant baffle in the outside exhaust component, which I purchased separately.

We’re so impressed with this hood! Finally we found a hood that is designed to be cleaned easily and properly inside and out by allowing you to access all areas where grease collects in addition the grease collector which is very well designed in itself. Giving it a well deserved 5 stars!
