It is a bit loud on the higher settings, but it has higher settings! Moves a lot of air, just what I was looking for. Kitchens are for cooking not for looking, so if you're looking for a hood that actually does it's job, and at a good price, this is a good choice. If you want something quiet that just looks shiny and expensive in a show kitchen that you never really cook in, you can do better.
I spent considerable time looking at Range Hoods and reviews before purchasing this model. I wanted something very quiet and vibration free, and reasonably priced. This was the one. The day it was delivered our handyman was over here working on other things. We installed it in about 2 hours. 15 minutes to get the Hood in place, the rest of the time cutting a hole in the cabinet above and a hole through the wall to exhaust the system. We turned it on high. No vibration, and very low noise from the fans. We are happy campers and glad we chose this model.
I bought this in February,a little loud but very effective. Only problem today lights and fan won?? turn on and clock is off three hours what can I do? Is this a covered sensor? Please help!!!
Excellent range hood however horizontal vent option took me some extra time

Overall it is an excellent range hood, a big step up from what I used to have. Decent CFM and modern design. It offers 3 venting options, vertical round, vertical square and horizontal square. And the horizontal square venting option is exactly why I choose this one because I want to utilize the 3 by 10 vent hole on my wall from the old range hood. However it took me some extra time to install since the horizontal vent adapter has a transition from the hood exhaust outlet (bigger than 3 by 10) to 3 by 10 vent so it couldn't be inserted into the vent hole on the wall with zero gap between the back of range hood and the wall, which made the range hood stick out a little bit more than expected. I guess the transition was there to improve the flow and I don't want to make adjustment on the exhaust hole I already had on the wall. So as a result, I drilled additional screw holes on the hood in order to hang it than using pre drilled screw holes on the range hood.Another improvement that I made was adding a "hand-crafted" gasket between the horizontal vent adapter and the hood itself. As I noticed there was a rubber gasket on the vertical vent of the hood however there was no gasket if horizontal vent was chosen. So I made one gasket from rubber sheet and attached it. I'm not blaming the seller since not many people use the horizontal vent but it would be nice to include one for that option. Over all it is a decent range hood.
We like the product. It works very well with all the touchsceeen buttons and it is very easy to clean. However, it is still pretty loud but not as loud as our old one.
