Very powerful, bad installation, noisy buttons

The hood looks great and is incredibly powerful.
Installation was awful for the rear vent. The top screw placement is right in the corners, near the edge of the cabinet (even with a filler like 2x4 you need to be exact) and near the rear cord hold. Rear vent was off by 1/8" from old rear vent requiring some dry wall cutting and duct bending. A template for pre-drilling screw holes in cabinet would be really nice. One hour project became five hours.
Not super keen on touch screen. It's noisy and there is no easy single tap to turn on the light if the hood is off. Don't care for clock. But I knew the hood came with a touchscreen when buying, so can't dock it for points here.
Bulbs included have a nice yellow light, but are a little dim. Easily swapped them for the bulbs from my old hood and the lighting is fantastic.
The sheet metal in the back is a bit flimsy, notably compared to old Whirlpool hood but honestly doesn't matter since the stainless steel is robust and where the structure comes from.
Now it's up, we're happy. As noted, far more powerful than our old hood. Slightly annoyed that even the lowest fan level is louder than our old low level on old hood, would really like lower levels even if not powerful. But, overall it's far more performant. Previously the old hood on high (much louder) wouldn't do much for kitchen smells. This hood quickly and effectively eliminates them.

An Excellent Purchase & far better than completion

I purchased one PS18-30 4 years ago and another one for my second kitchen a year after.
We cook everyday at least twice a day and very elaborately and the range hood has performed excellent each and every time.
It is easy to clean the baffles in dishwasher and with removal a few screws you can do your annual cleaning all the way to the blower fan. Suction is as advertised however I hope noise level could be improved. Overall excellent product.

Great Hood-small problem with the fan gasket

I love this hood. It looks great, very reliable, my only issue with it is the fan gasket which has come loose over time and does not provide a good seal between the fan and housing. Otherwise absolutely thrilled with this under cabinet hood.

Exceeded Our Expectations

We are currently upgrading our 400 sqft kitchen and the existing range hood was terrible and was creating a mess. When we received this unit, we were surprised by the weight, which was due to the solid construction and heavy duty motors. Once installed, we were surprised how well it worked. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. Well worth the fair price.

Beautiful and powerful!

I love this range hood! It’s sleek and beautiful but also powerful and quiet. I was also pleased with the hue of the lights - which give off a warm glow. It was a little more difficult to install than we anticipated because it doesn’t come with a template, but I am so happy with it overall.

We just installed this hood and it was pretty straightforward. The lighting over the range top is good and the suction power of the hood seems great. At normal use speeds the noise level is good. At high speeds it becomes a bit noisy, but this also provides more suction than typically needed.
We like the stainless steel finish and operation panel, which is easy to clean. We look forward to many years of use.

Love this hood!

We were looking to replace our over-the-range non-vented microwave as it was very ineffective in removing odors and smoke from the kitchen. After doing a lot of online research, we ultimately selected Hauslane and decided upon the UC-PS18 30in stainless steel model.
The installation of the hood was straightforward; even venting to the outside was not as bad as we thought it was going to be.
We have been using the hood for about a month now and let me just say that this hood is a beast! The suction on the hood is remarkable. No more odors or smoke in the kitchen. No more opening windows and lighting candles for the smell.
What a transformation! I wished we would have purchased this hood sooner.
We love the sleek design and 6 settings for the fan. I was a little worried about the fan being loud when set to the highest setting, but it is not as noisy as some reviews claim it to be. In fact, it’s really not as loud as our old over-the-range microwave.
