The best solution

This is my second Hauslane unit! I liked the one I have at home so when I find out my parents hood system failed I knew we need to replace it with a hauslane unit. Such a big improvement over their old unit

Not perfect but it helps

Allow some time to get this installed. Recently, we had the hood installed by a handyman- he had to first remove our microwave, then run a duct up through the cabinet and along the dining room wall to vent it outside. He finished in 3 days, including repainting the wall from the kitchen out to the vent. The next thing is replacing the tile where the microwave was, because the hood is smaller than the microwave was. But the vent is great. We used it while cooking steaks and the smoke alarm did not go off, but somehow it did with a salmon burger. So, it is not perfect, but it helps.

Fits right where the old Chef's series went.

This was our second chef series hood. It fit right in where the old one was installed. It is definitely an improvement over the old one. A small thing, but very important one, is the control panel. The old control panel was a cheap decal that wore off in a year or so. The new one is led and much better. We were delayed getting ours installed because of a medical situation, but it has been in for a week now. We like it a lot.

We bought our range hood over a year ago and absolutely love it. Easy to install. Quiet and still powerful on lowest setting. Lights are soft on the eyes with full coverage over the cook top. Sleek modern design and quality craftsmanship. Cleaning is easy with the auto clean function and drip tray. Touch pad operation is simple and convenient.

Product was installed last week so my usage is limited. It has a good appearance in my kitchen and was easy to install and connect with the 2 X 10" ductwork exhaust. The suction is powerful and the noise is acceptable. It's a good addition to my kitchen.

Great Hood needs a little tweaking to be better.

I have hventing everything on the stovead this for almost a month now and it does a very good job at venting everything on the stove, very powerful unit. A couple of observations to make this better in my opinion would be to move the rear right mounting hole away from the cutout for the electrical connection. When you cut that area out to get into the cabinet above it left a gap between the top of the hood and the bottom of the cabinet. It would be a better stronger mount if that screw pulled the hood up against solid wood. I also am dissappointed that in the dark the power button isn't lighted. You have to feel around in the dark for the power button and once you turn that on you have to turn on the light. How about leaving at least one of these buttons backlit so it can be found in the dark.

No more grease everywhere!

We had been struggling with another brand's microwave/ hood because we had to degrease the entire kitchen constantly. Retro the Hauslane seemed like a big job because we would have to drill through three cabinets and the house to vent it. However, after months of searching brands, styles, and fits, we chose the Ducted Under Cabinet Range Hood. The directions were simple. My 19-year-old son completed the job with little support. It has been the perfect hood since we started using it. First, no grease! It is quiet, the lighting is effective and helpful, and the touch dials are simple, allowing us to opt for venting strength. I highly recommend this hood.

Great quality of life improvement

I replaced a over the range microwave hood vent with the Hauslane UC-PS18 and have been very impressed with the vastly improved ventilation. I particularly like how quiet it is in the low setting, while providing sufficient ventilation to cook with one gas range on. The filters are vastly superior than the old range I replaced, as they are more substantial and can be put in the dishwasher. Very happy with this excellent product!
