Install: seamless, very Easy install for 2 people (about 20 minutes, most of the time was spent unpacking the unit!). Hooked directly into existing 6" vent stack. (Hauslane even include aluminum tape to finish the job!) Thanks to the hints others wrote to have a long thin phillips head screwdriver extension = priceless recommendation. Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly! If your cabinets have a recessed bottom, make certain you put spacer blocks in first. make sure your power connection access hole is wide enough to accept the plug. Do that, and you should have no problem. We used all 6 available mounting holes, just because they were there.
Performance: simply put, astonishing vacuum power, short video attached does not do the unit justice. Unit is quite, half the volume as the "over the counter" units at all hardware superstores. even on highest setting, not as loud as standard under cabinet mount units. No longer am I concerned with deep frying or even blackening anything in the house. As others have written, be careful adding spice to your food, it WILL be sucked up into your face! Ghost Chili Powder is no fun in your face.
Can't say enough how pleased we are with this unit. Just wish we had it when our son was still with us (he was a real trained chef, and am sure he would have loved to test it out!)

Mounting arrangement design concerns

We have now mounted 2 hauslane range hoods. Two issues are apparent: 1) the power cord opening is located less than an inch from the back right mounting screw and that the cord hole comprises the shelf screw attachment strength. 2) the attachment screws sent with the hood are 1.5 inches long which is 3/4 of an inch longer than cupboard shelf depth, requiring cutting the screws off or getting alternative mounting hardware.

Just installed and instructions could be more detailed and an install video would have been helpful. The hood could have been covered with protective plastic that pulls off so as to protect from
scratches during installation. Hard to get to the screws on back. Runs great.

Our first range hood came dented. They sent out a new one after I provided a picture of the dent with new tracking once the return was in Fedex's system. The second hood arrived perfect. This is a great range hood if you're replacing an over the stove microwave as is has a lot of versatility with ducting locations.

Love the range hood

Both my wife and I loved this range hood. Installation was easy since several venting options were provided. So far we only need to use the lowest fan option, the high option is really powerful and only needed when there is a lot of smoke. I really like the dual fan. We have it for about a month now, so far everything is working great.

A very nice range hood!

The range hood is solidly built. Quite powerful, and really pulls cooking fumes from the cooktop. The LED lighting is quite bright, and controls work well. I found the countdown timer to auto-shut off the fans and lights to be handy.
I deducted a star, because some details weren’t too clear or absent from the instructions that came with the unit. I wasn’t aware that there is a lifetime warranty on the motors until I went to the website. The grease tray was only mentioned once in the instructions as an included item, but no further mention about it was made anywhere else. I’m sure folks are going to eventually forget about it and allow grease to accumulate in that reservoir.
Overall, I think it’s a great value.
