Wanted to give it a 5 but can't

I hope they read this, I really wanted to give this hood 5 stars but it has a (to me) glaring deficiency or issue. The SS shows every smudge and fingerprint from me touching it while taking it out of the box and testing it and they don't wipe off easy even with the cloth that comes in the box. I have 3 other appliances with no smudge no fingerprint finishes that look just like this hood but really don't show fingerprints, not sure how they do it but it really is great. I can't imagine how this hood will look after a bit of the inevitable cooking fumes get on it. Now that aside, it moves allot of air, and it's quieter than I expected, looks high quality fit and finish is perfect (except for its affinity for fingerprints). Comes with a variety of venting attachments to meet just about every vent setup, even includes some metal duct tape. That fingerprint thing is big to me because I know they make SS that doesn't show fingerprints.

I have always wanted a hood that actually vents to the outside. I don’t love going to bed with the smell of ground beef in my bedroom. So, when I had to get a new stove and started looking for a range hood to match, I found Hauslane.
We love the way it looks, sounds and works! I had a professional install the vent to the outside of the house. A cabinet maker made modifications so we could install the hood 30” above the stove. (Doesn’t it look great?) Hauslane has passed the test with fried foods, smoky pans, and strong spicy aromas.
