I couldn't install this product in my home unfortunately because my stove is up against an interior wall and the studs don't run in the right direction to allow easy access to the outside. And if the pipes were to run a different direction (eg south) I'd have to move a gas tank and other very complicated stuff.
I however am still giving this five stars because the return process was very simple and easy for something that is huge and heavy. I expected it to be a little more difficult but they were great about the return process.

A truly premium product. Quiet for the amount of power. Very sturdy construction - remove the baffles on any other hood and you'll see what I mean. Not flimsy in any way! Easy to install - super easy to keep clean. Having a timer on the shutoff is a nice feature - keeps me from wandering back into the kitchen and finding out the hood fan has been running for six hours!

I bought the uc-ps18 model a month ago and so far it has been outstanding. It is quiet and removes a lot of air when we cook. The light is also super useful. Installation was super easy and they provided different types of connections.
