Works & looks good but the install

The PS18-30 looks and works good but am not impressed with the workmanship for the price. First of all the sheet metal screws supplied for the mounting are useless unless your cabinets are solid wood not the hollow core type as in my case so had to use bolts with washers. Would have been easier to have a template supplied as I noticed other models have so made one. After all, houses aren't always square. Had to watch when drilling the hole for the power cord. One inch is called for but the plug is larger and is close to one of the mounting holes so be careful. The type of strain relief used on the cord won't allow the unit to fit flush to the cabinet underside unless you are creative. Some of the screws on the back were driven crooked and stick out so can't be flush to the wall so leave a gap. Really would have liked to have given it more stars.

Just finished the installation

This unit is built like a tank. Very nicely thought out and great instructions. The back mounting holes were difficult for a guy my size to see clearly and a tight fit for a hand my size, but was able to feel and get the fasteners in place. The only thing that we changed was the 3 watt GU10 bulbs which did not seem bright enough to suit us. We changed to 35 watt "Bright White" LED bulbs which made a big difference in our opinion. The design has a removable grease tray which I look forward to using, cleaning our old hood was a real pain.

Well-built range hood with powerful fans. Took quite a while to receive due to Covid challenges, but worth it once it arrived. I messaged the company as the shipping date was moved multiple times and was responded to promptly and honestly by real humans! :)

I tried it before installing it. Loved the strength and low noise. Then loved the fact that it comes with three different adaptors for connecting to exhaust pipe. It gave me so much choice since I was replacing an existing microwave under mount a cabinet. The front panel display is nice and improved. I had to make some changes in pdf manuals to be able to install it but that was it.

I loved this product bcoz it is very quiet. I replaced this range hood with my existing one as existing one making so much noise but when looked spec of this one I am impressed that it is very quiet in operation. I will recommend this range hood. Only one thing they need to add is template as when I bought this I think there must be a template in there it makes easier for everyone to cut hole at right place instead of taking measurements and install, though I installed it by myself it takes time but if they give us template that gone be a big help
