This printer is an "A+" printer that has performed from the beginning with no problems. It has a fax included but haven't needed to try it out. Will see when i do try it. I recommend this 8153e to anyone needing a work at home all in one. The price is unbelievable! You don't need to get an expensive one for the home, this does it all (unless your working from home with more advanced options, that is}, but this does the job for general at home work!.
I purchased this model HP Office Jet Pro 8135e to replace a well worn model HP 8035. I like the all in one features and the auto feed document tray. I like the 2-sided printing. I like using ink cartridges that I purchase whenever I need to replace them. The printer works very well with one exception. Occasionally, when printing a document it "freezes" and doesn't finish print. I cancel print and usually have to turn the printer off then turn back on. When I turn it back on, it resets itself. This doesn't happen very often. I never had this problem with my older model HP. Because I love all the other features of this printer, I am just dealing with this glitch.
not too bad to setup. print quirky as pages not always fully printed. photo print a pain to work thru screen it is a so so printer only reason I bought is the cartridges are cheaper and longer lasting than last HP I had
This printer is a huge disappointment to me. I had used the 8160 for many years and loved its printing ability, speed, ease of operation, and controls. I have enjoyed very few of these features on the 8135 model, which I purchased thinking it was the closest to the 8160. Printing is noticeably slower, the paper does not remain secure in the tray so I often need to push it forward to get the printer to work. My previous printer had a spring loaded device to push the paper forward. Reading the control screen is more difficult as well
The colors are not nearly as bright nor as crisp as I had hoped. As most of my printing is colored pictures, this was not the right printer for me and I will not be able to use it for anything but letter printing.
Exceptionally difficult to connect to my computer because nowhere did I see that I need a 2.4GHz router. Once I purchased a split router (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz), all went fine.
Slow and noisy; confusing support telephone numbers; illogical default settings; truck-load of various questionable names and labels; Instant Ink shoved down your throat. Once all the kinks are worked out, it works file... but slow
